Privacy policy

  • Your room photos are private. Only you can see them. We never post, share or sell them.
  • We only collect what we need to restyle your room and keep the site safe.
  • We don't sell your personal information and we don't show you ads.
  • KopyKat is for people 13 and older.
  • You can ask us to delete everything at any time: kopykat.1.app@gmail.com.

  1. 1. What we collect

    Your account. When you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them to run your account.

    Your rooms. The photos you upload (your room and your inspiration), your room size and budget, the list of things our AI finds in your photo, what you choose to keep, the shopping list we build and the designs we make.

    Your birth year. We ask for it once, to check you're 13 or older. We don't save it.

    Safety records. To enforce our free limits and stop abuse, we keep a record of each AI request (when, what kind and what it cost) and a scrambled code made from your internet address. We can't turn that code back into the address.

    Site visits. We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. Your private room pages are counted without their room number.

  2. 2. How we use it

    • To read your room, find real products in your style and draw your restyled room.
    • To show you your rooms, drafts and shopping lists.
    • To keep the free limits fair and the site safe from bots and abuse.
    • To fix problems and improve KopyKat.

  3. 3. Who helps us run KopyKat

    We share data only with the services that run KopyKat for us, and only what each one needs:

    • Supabase stores your account, rooms and photos (in the United States).
    • Vercel hosts the website.
    • fal.ai runs the AI models that read your photos and draw your designs, including Anthropic's Claude (through OpenRouter) and ByteDance's Seedream. Your photos are sent to them only to make your design.
    • Google handles sign-in.
    • Cloudflare runs the "are you human" check on the sign-in page.
    • Shopify product search: we send only the words we search for (like "pink shag rug"), never your photos or personal details.

    Lists you share. When you tap "Share link", we make a separate page with just the products: names, stores, prices and links. It never includes your photos or your name. Anyone with that link can open it, so only send it to people you trust. Deleting the room deletes its shared lists too.

    When you click a product, you go to that store's own website. What you do there is covered by the store's privacy policy. Some links may earn us a commission; that never changes your price.

  4. 4. Cookies and storage on your device

    • Sign-in cookies keep you signed in. They're needed for the site to work.
    • If you add items to a cart, the cart is saved in your browser only. We never see it.
    • We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

  5. 5. How long we keep it

    We keep your rooms, photos and designs while your account is open so you can come back to them. You can delete any room yourself with the "Delete this room" button on its page: we erase its photos, designs and shopping list right away, and keep only a blank record so the free limits stay fair. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete everything, including the safety records. Safety records never include your photos.

  6. 6. Teens and children

    KopyKat is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, contact us and we'll delete their account and data.

    If you're under 18, please use KopyKat with a parent or guardian's permission, especially before buying anything.

  7. 7. Your choices

    Wherever you live, you can ask to see the data we have about you, correct it or delete it, including deleting your whole account. You can delete single rooms yourself at any time. Email kopykat.1.app@gmail.com and we'll reply within 30 days. We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

  8. 8. Keeping it safe

    Room photos are stored in private storage and shown only through short-lived links that work for you alone. Our AI keys stay on our servers. No system is perfect, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if something goes wrong that affects you.

  9. 9. Changes

    If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and for big changes we'll let you know on the site. See also our terms.
